I’ve seen these guys on numerous blogs, and sites. Advertising their ass off. I’m all for seeing a giant slayers win once in a while but it still amazes me how some startups just don’t get it. They have a brilliant marketing strategy. I mean, gents I love your banners. I clicked at least twice to find out what the deal was. However the final product was total tripe. If these guys make even a tiny dent in Google armour, I’ll…paint myself red for the day.

1) slow to load.

If you are serious about search..well. You get the idea. It takes a shed load longer than the Big g.

2) user interface was nothing short of terrible.

They’ll probably tell me that this magic javascript jumpy thing is their product, and how it separates them from the competition. Wrong. I’m not interested. It feels gimicky, and just annoyed me. People with little or no mouse accuracy (i.e. people like my mum, will hate it.) It doesn’t improve my experience, I want more relevance, not different ways of viewing the same thing Google can give me, only ten times freaking slower.

Rant over.
