Looks like the Big G put together a new Favicon today. Either that or I hadn’t noticed it before..

Its not an icon I’ve seen anywhere else in their marketing. Maybe a rebrand is on its way?

I guess *this* is where the power of Twitter comes in, as this is bit short to be blog worthy but then you can’t really promote a twittering in the same way as a blog post..

Anyway. You all heard it here first. Possibly. Now go tell your friends.

You might also enjoy..

  1. I must have really bad eyesight because I can barely see it. Looks like a ‘g’ on top of a capital ‘E’?

  2. Michael says:

Noticed it myself, but it looks like it’s gone today.

  3. Paul Anthony says:

Its a strange one. For sure.

  4. @Michael , I see it today. First noticed it yesterday, after someone pointed it out on Twitter (sorry Paul ;) )

Strange alright. It’s the ‘g’ from the middle of the word ‘Google’ in their regular branding (‘Toronto SEO Gal’ was wondering)… but that doesn’t strike me as being ‘The Google G’.

Maybe it’s a test to see how connected people are to the big G – by tracking how many people notice and/or complain about the change.
