Hi Keith -

I’d say the next ten years are going to be even more exciting. HTML 5 at the minute is giving me the web development horn, when browsers get decent support locked down – its going to be great for designers and developers alike. I’ve download the latest Firefox Beta (3.6 Beta 5) – just to try out some of the demos out there on the web at the minute, and the possibilities are endless!

And what about the next ten years?
More html, css, wordpress and problems with IE6!

great re-cap of the decade. hard to believe that ie6 is still the browser of choice for businesses and personal users almost 10 years on! thankfully, firefox, chrome and numerous other browsers have reduced it’s usage! :)

The IPhone has been a great addition to the influx on the mobile web but I wouldn’t consider it a break through.

People have been using smart phones for many years before the IPhone, it simply made it sleeker with the extra speed and applications in my opinion.

It all comes in waves really. A lot of the “future” innovations have already been created but haven’t been widely adopted yet. Tablet PCs are starting to build steam but they haven’t caught on yet and much like the IPhone, it would take a giant like Apple to broaden its appeal.

Hi Charles – 2009 didn’t really see any significant technological / web design developments that I could think of. The iphone in my opinion (and in particular the additional processing power) is important in the advancement of the mobile web.
