The notification bar for Google+ is pretty much social media crack. It keeps me coming back to the service to find out exactly who has commenting on my posts, or tagged me in posts, essentially it is the technical implementation of classical conditioning, with the conditioned response being us revisiting the site. Anyway, social science aside, this extension brings notifications from the browser to Chrome directly, so you can browse the rest of the web and leave Google Plus in the background.

One obvious missing feature within the service at present is threaded commenting and the ability to reply directly to a user, this extension provides that functionality by automatically adding +Username to the comment.
