» How we design and build sites

The design process

design process imageWe believe in developing solutions which not only look visually impressive but really work. When we are developing projects we recognise that design is not just about looking good, instead we place a strong emphasis in problem solving. Typically our site design process looks like this:

Design Brief.

You the client, have an idea of what you want from us, how many pages it should have, what functionality it has. From this we create a design specification.

Design Specification.

specificationWe take your design brief, and work out the finer points on what you need. We agree on deliverables, and the document is sent back to the client to review. Only when a design specification sheet is ok by the client, will any work commence.

Concept Design

Think of this as a prototype design which will show how we plan on implementing the website. This will typically involve a number of alternative design options for the client to agree on. The one which fulfills the design brief and specification document to the highest standard should be chosen at this stage.

Detailed Design

Feedback from the concept design is received from the client, and worked into the concept design to meet their needs or wishes. When this detailed design mockup has been agreed, development of the site can take place.

Site completion and testing

When the website is complete, and fully tested it gets handed over to the client. Further ammendments at this stage are invoiceable as per our maintainance options.
